I finally got my new schedule on paper--now to use it.
I am a solorprenuer, divorced single mom, home owner with a dog—now you see the busy.

Ok, here goes...
I decided to throw myself back in the pond online and start dating. It has been 18 years and 1 marriage ending in divorce since I had a date. II took a workshop, crafted a profile, identified pictures to use and even signed on to an online dating service and yet I can't bring myself to really do it. I even came designed a tracking system in Excel (I am a productivity coach) to track matches that reach out to me and the ones I reach out to. Still no go. Is it the 18 year hiatus that scares me? Is it the between the sheets that scares me? Is it the Single Mom homeowner with a dog descriptor that scares me? Well, it is all of them. It is no longer about me meeting a mate. It is also my kid, my dog, my home and my business meeting a mate. That is a lot to swallow and easily stomach turning. And to boot I am not a water girl, but I guess I just need to dive in and get swimming. Thanks for reading (and listening to) my rant.

For eternity
I just read Kevin Kruse's 15 secrets Successful People Know about Time Management and now I am reading a book of meditations by Marcus Aurelius. Both books, one ancient (literally) and one 21st century, state that time can't be rented, bought or borrowed meaning wasted time is lost time. If this idea/concept has been around for millenniums, then why do some of my clients not get it? I know-- they want to pretend that time is an unlimited resource, when in fact it is finite. There are only 24 hours in day. On this note, I head to bed for my 8 hours sleep. This is how long it takes to recharge my "battery."

Procrastination isn't my thing.....
My daughter has a project due tomorrow and all weekend and last night I told her to start work on it since we have a family dinner tonight and she said there would be time to work on it at school and then last night she tried to get out of the dinner due to the assignment and I said no way because I am a productivity coach and procrastination makes my brain spin (especially when it is used as an excuse not to honor commitments).
(She called me mean in the end and I said, "Ok.")

Old school VS. New school
Today, I was asked to send a contact a calendar invite to our meeting and I had to for the first time use Google calendar, since I am old school and still use a paper calendar and now, it has me thinking that maybe I should go to a new school soon.

Neat and clean
I hired a professional organizer to help me make sense of my office which is now also my craft space and from the picture you can see we did good work, so I am thrilled and loving my neater bookshelf.

Small plates all around....
I have discovered in my business as a productivity and time management coach that people like a coaching program that is "small plate" which is why my Spring Program, two sessions is outselling my 2 and 4 month programs so far this year.
(Want to know about my program--spring cleaning your day, then email me at Mali@LifeManagementPros.com)

Tuesday's Tip: to-do list
No matter what you have to do, writing it all down will make sure you don't forget anything important and the back of an envelope will do if you don't have pad or paper handy.

In the kitchen on Thursday...Buying in bulk
A few months back I made my fist trip to a bulk store. I was so excited to get large packages of items that were gigantic sized or multiples of a smaller size. Friends and family had raved and my mother, who I went with, was dying to check it out. She liked it and I didn't. Why? She is one and I am three in my household. Whatever she buy is just for her. My daughter was with us, so we bought some snacks for her and I still have some left and she is tired of them. The cleaning products were a steal, the food items not so much. I am glad that my local grocery store is still in business and won't be folding anytime soon. Just my thoughts.
